Monument Rocks Laser Engraved Cutting Board
Located in Gove County, Kansas the iconic Niobrara Chalk formation known as Monument Rocks or the Pyramids rise up above the Smoky Hill River valley as a testimony to the rich history of this unique place in Kansas.
Located just north of the Smoky Hill River these unusual rock formations were a landmark along the important Smoky Hill Trail and Butterfield Overland Stage Route that carried people from the east across the desolate Kansas plains to the rich gold fields in Colorado.
Named as a National Landmark and as one of the Eight Wonders of Kansas, Monument Rocks have become a popular side trip for travelers along Interstate 70 and the subject of many outstanding photos that capture the unique beauty of this area.
This unique laser engraved cutting board features a panoramic photo of rock formation that contains the "keyhole" which is a key feature of the rock formations. This photo was converted to be suitable for laser engraving and then engraved on a Bamboo Cutting board in the shape of the state of Kansas.
The design of the cutting board was inspired by the old time postcards that were once popular as travel souvenirs.
The cutting board is 16-3/4 inches wide and 9-1/4 inches tall. It is made of 1/2 inch bamboo and can be both a decorative and usable item.
